Veye Yo means " We Are Watching" in Creole. It also is the name of Miami's largest and most active grassroots Haitian organization. Founded by former Haitian political prisoner Father Gerard Jean-Juste, Veye Yo has led numerous campaigns for democracy and justice in Haiti.
Veye Yo has also been the leading voice in South Florida challenging the US government's racist immigration policy that deports Haitian refugeees while granting asylum and social services to predominatly white (Cuban) emmigres that reach US soil.
